Community Document Shredding Day

Come to the SPUSD School District parking lot on Saturday, April 25th, to shred your  documents.  Identity theft continues to rise, and having your personal and business documents shredded in a safe and secure manner will help combat the problem.  Thanks to our sponsors for helping to make this important event possible.

Paper-Shredding-Event

“We are happy to offer this event for responsible paper disposal which will help residents reduce

the risk of identity theft,” said Kiwanis member John Vandercook. “The City continues to be proactive

in removing recyclables from our waste stream. While we do this from time to time with electronics

paints and thinners, identity theft and credit card fraud are such a growing problem that it is equally

important to dispose of old documents properly.”

City residents may bring up to five banker’s boxes to be shredded. Residents are asked to consider

a suggested donation of $20.00, all of which will be used to directly benefit the youth served by the

South Pasadena Kiwanis Club. The shredding agency will be Ability First, AAA certified member of the

National Association for Information Destruction, who has offered secure document destruction

services since 2003.

The event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Priority One Credit Union, Re-Imagine

Your Home, Mission Street Wealth Planning and B. B. Graham & Company.

The Kiwanis 2015 Rose Parade Float

The 2015 Rose Parade theme was “Inspiring Stories”. Our Kiwanis float theme was “100 Years Inspiring Children” Kiwanians are justifiably proud of the enhancement of children’s lives, which we provide with our altruistic service for the improvement of our communities. Not only are we saving lives as we have done through our Worldwide Service Project, but making lives better each day, one community at a time, one child at a time.
